Scór is the cultural wing of the Gaelic Athletic Association. During the winter months when the playing season ends, the GAA Clubs continue to compete for an all Ireland Champion’s Title, on stage, through 8 separate cultural competitions since 1969.In 2014 Lorna Smith with the help of Fiona Smyth & a team of volunteers held the first official GAA Scór Competitions in New York .The New York Irish Center is proud to showcase a unique insight to the hidden talents of local GAA clubs by staging the results of 2 competitions with five short theatrical performances, featuring the winners & finalists of New York Scór na nÓg & Sinsear Scór 2015 from these GAA Clubs: Cavan, Manhattan Gaels & Shannon Gaels.This is a unique crossover of Irish Culture and Sports on stage instead of the pitch! This is a collaboration between The New York Irish Center & the GAA community and is proud to feature in the 1st Irish Theater Festival 2015
