
Irish Repertory Theatre’s award-winning Ciaran O’Reilly will open our evening with a solo performance from Friel’s play ‘Dancing at Lughnasa’ followed by a screening of the 1998 feature film. Friel’s portrait of five sisters is set in Donegal 1936. Told through the eyes of a boy, it is a poignant and lyrical story of sisterhood, place, memory, love and loyalty.
